Ichthyosis Vulgaris Disorder
The ichthyosis vulgaris disorder is a skin condition that belongs to the group of ichthyosis skin diseases. Basically, the ichthyosis group of skin disorders is associated with the problem of scaly and flaky skin, with some of these conditions being life threatening. The ichthyosis vulgaris disorder is the most common type of skin disease in the ichthyosis family. It is known to affect 1 in 250 people and is usually seen as a congenital problem. While most of these cases are congenital ichthyosis, a rare strain of acquired ichthyosis vulgaris does exist.
